Injustice

injustice

No one calls for justice, nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; they conceive evil and bring forth iniquity (Isaiah 59:4).

What would you think about an important court trial that would change the course of millions of lives, but only one side was permitted in court? Only one side allowed to be present in the courtroom. Only one party allowed to be represented.

No defense is allowed. No defense permitted to speak or even appear.

Would the decision by the judge by fair? Would it be just? Could such a thing happen in America, “the land of the free and the home of the brave“?

In mid-May, an important decision was made in Oregon concerning homosexual marriage. In 2004, the people of Oregon voted to make homosexual marriage illegal. Now, only 10 years later, a federal judge ruled that law to be illegal. To make matters worse, the judge refused to allow anyone to speak on behalf of the traditional view of marriage.

This is not justice. This is known as a Kangaroo Court.

The Just Judge who always does right (Genesis 18:25) hates injustice. He links truth with justice; where one is absent, the other will fail (Isaiah 59).

In the place of justice, wickedness was there; and in the place of righteousness, iniquity was there. I said in my heart, “God shall judge the righteous and the wicked, for there shall be a time there for every purpose and for every work(Ecclesiastes 3:16-17).
