True North is God

true north

A local private Roman Catholic high school has made a wise choice to fire a teacher who has not only come out as a homosexual, but has now “married” his lover.

Our sin-loving twisted culture doesn’t surprise me. What does surprise me is the number of students and parents who object to the man being fired for violating school policy and the tenets of the Roman Catholic Church on marriage. HELLO! It’s a ROMAN CATHOLIC school!

Christians, since the age of the Apostles, have declared with the Apostle Paul that homosexuality is a sin; not better nor worse than any other sin, but sin which cannot be condoned. The Roman Church, unlike so many modern Protestants,  views marriage as a sacred institution of Christ Jesus.

Students and parents have mounted a social media attempt to harass the school into accepting their version of “tolerance” (meaning that only their un-Biblical view is tolerated). They’ve taken to the airwaves via the local news stations to say the teacher is a “great guy” and that they don’t understand why the school would fire him for being true to his sexuality.

The message today includes: Forget the Bible. Damn the Church. Oppose God. Adopt the latest fad of ungodliness in a sinking culture.

Some of these families are Roman Catholic. They should know better.

Some of these families send their children to a private Catholic school because they want their kids to have the best education money can buy; and that is never found in a government-run school. Money is their god and they demand their worth.

Some of these families send their children to a school where they can learn the basics of education and gain a moral compass. They now want the compass set to humanity rather than the true north found in God.

  1. Can you provide a link to a news article on this situation?

Is the fired teacher pursuing legal action?

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the courts, if so.

It never ceases to amaze me (although it should) how far professing Christians will go to oppose their own faith.
