We like to think of ourselves as important and special.
Watch this short, amazing, video (here).
After watching this, you can’t help but ask yourself the question of the Psalmist:
What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that You take care of him? You made him a little lower than the angels; You crowned him with glory and honor, and set him over the works of Your hands. You have put all things in subjection under his feet (Psalm 8:4-6).
Considering the greatness of God’s creation, and thus of God, we can understand the question posed by the psalmist. When we look at the world, the solar system, the universe, we are so small, but God has a special purpose for humanity. God set us at the center of His created universe and the center of His purpose. Our greatness is found – not in our small selves – but in Him.
