Our politically-correct world has inched its way into the church. We tremble at the truth, not because God has spoken, but because we are fearful of offending the sinner or troubling the saint.
It is unfashionable – and dangerous – to even use certain words in America, the land of free speech. Dixie. Cracker Barrel. Submit. Chief. Girl. Pervert. Gun. Black. Homosexual. Lily white. Fat. Lame. American. Sin. These links reveal that the simple use of these words is considered “offensive” by a vocal and growing group in the United States. These are all words you should never, never, never, ever use under any circumstance in any way, in any place, or at any time.
Here’s another offensive word: fool.
The Bible gives a clear definition of the word. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God” (Psalm 14:1). Literally, the verse says that the mindset of the fool is one who says “No God.”
- When the God of the Bible speaks, do you disagree with Him?
- When the God of the Bible gives a command to be followed, do you tell Him “no”?
- Do you deny the existence of the Bible’s God?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, guess what God calls you?
