Like other family and friends, Thursday began as usual. Thomas got out of bed, got ready for school, then headed off to complete his day. Nothing was different. His day was routine. It’s unlikely that he wondered, “will I die today?”
That afternoon, December 11, 2014, 11-year old Thomas was riding in a car driven by his mother in Portland, Oregon when a freak blast of wind grabbed a giant tree alongside a busy thoroughfare and toppled it onto the car killing the young boy at the scene.
Few people ever really consider the fact that today may be their last day on earth. Are you prepared for eternity?
It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27).
