It’s an easy thing to trust God when circumstances are in your favor, but genuine faith is only revealed in the fiery trials of everyday living.
We are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:5-7).
How is it that a believer in Jesus is able to keep his faith strong – even in the face of personal disaster and terrible circumstances? Peter says You are kept by the power of God through faith, and faith is a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8-9).
God saves, knows, and keeps those who are His (2 Timothy 2:19).
