Recent news broadcasts have been filled with stories of a man who reacted a particular way when confronted with danger. Some people say he did the right thing, others are sure he did the wrong thing.
How you think says a lot about you.
Some people are moved by their emotions, reaching down into the depths of their personal feelings and dragging up a bucket of sentiment. Images of childhood, personal situations, or some other experience determines what is said or done next.
Others measure and weigh what they hear and by simple deduction react. The years of education are rolled out while the dusty drawers of man’s wisdom and philosophy are opened and rummaged through for details and facts upon which to reply.
The Christian, however, always asks himself, “What does the Bible say? What is God’s statement on this?” Everyone has an opinion, but only what God says counts. Learning to think Biblically is God’s will for you.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).
