The Holy Spirit Told Me

“The Holy Spirit told me.” These words have been used to explain and endorse every kind of evil imaginable.

In May, the Huffington Post newspaper published a story proclaiming that Jesus was a transgender man, meaning that he was a man who believed himself to be a woman. In the comments, the author explained that she wrote the article “at the prompting of the Holy Spirit.”

The Holy Spirit Said

Herein is the danger of all modern messages from God. Anyone can say anything and claim that God gave him the new revelation.

I’ll stick with the Bible. It alone is the foundation for my faith and practice.

From childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 3:14).

  1. Amen!

“We have also a more SURE WORD OF PROPHECY; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” [2Peter 1:19-21]
