In Christianity, Scripture is our source and authority for faith and practice. Christians don’t get visions like New Age mystics. We don’t have modern apostles and prophets like the Mormons. We don’t need enlightened to truth like Buddhists or receive progressive revelations like the Bahai. We possess the Scriptures which are the certain and final words of God.
God, who at various times and in different ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son (Hebrews 1:1, 2).
We’re not people of slick slogans, missional mottos, or gimmicky games. Our purpose is obedience to Christ Jesus according to the record of the Bible.
There is nothing more that God can say than what He has inspired in His Word. Our message is to be only what the Scripture clearly teaches.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
If the Bible isn’t sufficient for our faith and practice, nothing ever will be.
