God created all things without either man’s advice or consent. He appointed both the times and the boundaries of our nations (Acts 17:26). He kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up. The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up (1 Samuel 2:6-7). Even the king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turn it wherever He wishes (Proverbs 21:1).
The next time you think God can’t do it without you … that His plan and purpose somehow depends upon you … remember that He also used a donkey and a worm to fulfill His will (Numbers 22:28; Jonah 4:7).
Whatever the Lord pleases He does, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deep places (Psalm 135:6).
