No Partiality

parent loving children

There shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as was not like it before, nor shall be like it again. But against none of the children of Israel shall a dog move its tongue, against man or beast, that you may know that the Lord does make a difference between the Egyptians and Israel (Exodus 11:6-7).

Moses spoke these words as the last of God’s plagues was pronounced upon the Egyptians. It’s a powerful statement that hits dead-on toward much wrong thinking today. Many people are of the opinion that God treats everyone alike.

The Bible says that God distinguishes between people and makes a difference between them (Malachi 1:1; Romans 9:13 and 15). He loves His own children with the same overflowing grace; but He also makes a stark distinction between those who belong to Him and those who do not.
